Simultaneous translation
Simultaneous translation is the most difficult mode of oral or verbal translation and is performed almost instantly with the speaker’s speech: as soon as the interpreter catches the minimum amount of information delivered by the speaker. There is usually a time lag décalage ( French term) of several seconds between the perception of information and its reproduction in another language, that is in the language of the listeners.

Whispering or chuchotage (the French term) is a type of simultaneous interpretation in which the interpreter translates the speaker’s speech into another language by standing or sitting next to one or two listeners and whispering the message in the ear of the clients. For this mode of simultaneous interpretation, the installation of a simultaneous interpretation system is not required, but it is possible to use mobile radio equipment with a microphone and headphones.
